As we look back on the past year at Restful Co., our hearts overflow with gratitude. What a journey it has been! Since opening our doors to guests in May 2023, it’s been an incredible adventure. As we look to a new year, we are filled with excitement for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Our Journey Begins
Our journey began with a simple desire—to create restful experiences for families and friends looking to get away. As a family, we have always loved finding rest in Galena. From fun memories strolling and dining on Main Street to scenic hikes in the surrounding Galena Territory countryside, each experience has been a gift. So we took a leap and purchased a rentalhome in the Galena Territory, welcoming our first guests on May 26, 2023.
Creating a Restful Retreat
Over the last year, we have learned so much and listened to each of our guests as they share ways we can make the experience even better. Some of our guests have shared that their favorite moments in the home were around a bonfire, in the hot tub, or enjoying the outdoors in the screen porch.
Reflecting on the past year, we are humbled by the countless memories we have been able to help create. In the last year, 76 groups have found rest in our home—family reunions, milestone celebrations, weekend retreats, and even a Christmas in August—and each guest has left their mark on us in some way. Their stories inspire us and remind us why we do what we do.
While it’s fun to reflect with gratitude, we are also excited for the year ahead. We look forward to getting to know new friends and reconnecting with familiar faces.
